Bioinformatics Summer School

The Bioinformatics Summer School, held from June 19 to 27, was led by an assistant professor from Maastricht University (The Netherlands) and bioinformatics expert Alexander Umanets. The training was dedicated to participants in terms of processing and analyzing data obtained through DNA sequencing of intestinal microbiota samples.

Through practical examples, participants were introduced to the fundamental steps of bioinformatics work – from quality control of raw sequencing data, taxonomic classification, and diversity analysis of microbiota, to statistical interpretation of results.
