Trainings at the Centre for Healthy Eating and Food Innovation (HEFI) in Venlo, the Netherlands
Young researcher MSc Ana Bačić and Associate Prof. Mirjana Rajilić -Stojanović visited the Centre for Healthy Eating and Food Innovation (HEFI) in Venlo, the Netherlands. Ana and Mirijana in cooperation with Assistant Prof. Kahlile Youssef Abboud and young scientist Yanyun Zhang studied the effect of yarrow extract and selected mix of polyphenols on the total microbiota structure and function by using TIM-2 model.
Young researchers MSc Milica Veljković and MSc Anja Petrov Ivanković and senior researcher Dr. Milica Simović visited the Centre for Healthy Eating and Food Innovation (HEFI) in Venlo, the Netherlands. They analyzed different polyphenol-rich extracts on the TIM-1 in vitro model representing the gastrointestinal tract from stomach to small intestine and the TIM-2 model simulating the process in the large intestinal tract.
In cooperation with Assistant Prof. Kahlile Youssef Abboud and young scientist Yanyun Zhang, they also worked on DNA isolation and short-chain fatty acid analysis on GC-MS.
