I kongres tehnologa & metalurga – TehnoKon, Palić, Serbija

TwinPrebioEnz project members Prof. Dr Dejan Bezbradica, Prof. Dr Nikola Nikačević, and senior researchers Dr Marija Ćorović and Dr Katarina Banjanac attended the TEHNOKON.ktm, the First Congress of technologists and metallurgists, which was held in Palić, Serbia, 25 – 28. April 2024. It was incredible experience, organized by students from Faculty of Technology and metallurgy, University of Belgrade.

Prof. Dr Nikola Nikačević participated in panel discussion named “Uspešni preduzetnici iz sveta tehnologije” (Friday, 26 April, Palić, Serbia). The main topics of the discussion was how to start your own StartUp or small business, what are the obstacles one might encounter when starting a new business, and how to overcome them. The panellist beside Prof. Nikačević were Prof. Dr Melina Kalagasidis-Krušić and student Aleksandar Janaćković.

On the 27 April, the Prof. Dejan Bezbradica held introductory presentation regarding two projects the PrIntPrEnzy funded by the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia and the TwinPrebioEnz funded by Horizon Europe 2021-2027. The students of FTM had great opportunity to hear about these projects, and expand their knowledge related to prebiotics research. Prof. Dr Nikola Nikačević held short lecture regarding process intensification and its application in prebiotic technology. Short presentations “Berries and by-products of their processing as source of dermal prebiotics” and “Prebiotics from by-products of oil processing industry (meals)” was delivered by PrIntPrEnzy and TwinPrebioEnz projects members Dr Marija Ćorović and Dr Katarina Banjanac, respectively.
